Telescopic fire doors solve a specific space constraint: wide openings in corridors where lateral space is limited. The telescoping action causes the panels to slide one behind the other — the lateral space required is only 1/3 or 1/4 of the door width. Three variants: 2 panels for medium openings, 3-4 panels for very large openings, or automatic for hospitals and public buildings with heavy traffic.

2-panel telescopic doors

Two panels moving simultaneously, each in the opposite direction, with one entering behind the other. Requires only half the width as side clearance — the solution when the side wall is occupied by installations, furniture, or other doors.

  • Total width: 2.4 - 6 m
  • Fire classes: EI60 or EI90 (60 or 90 minutes)
  • Required side clearance: only 50% of the door width
  • Accepted by IGSU (Inspectorate for Emergency Situations), European certification EN 1634-1

Recommended for: hospital corridors with moderate traffic, entrances to large halls, separations between technical areas where the side wall has constraints.

Telescopic doors with 3 - 4 panels

Multiple panels for very large openings — operating rooms, hospital entrances, high-traffic airports. With 3 or 4 telescopic panels, the required side space is reduced to 1/3 or 1/4 of the door width. The only solution when the corridor is narrow.

  • Overall width: 4 - 10 m
  • 3 or 4 telescopic panels with parallel guides
  • Required side space: 1/3 or 1/4 of the door width
  • Fire resistance classes: EI60 or EI90, optionally EI120

Recommended for: operating theaters, ICU departments, airport entrances, large halls, event rooms with extensive evacuation requirements.

Automatic telescopic doors

With automatic opening via motion sensors — for hospital entrances, airports, and public buildings with high traffic. In case of fire or power failure, the fail-safe system automatically closes the door and maintains the fire resistance class.

  • Optional motion and/or radar sensors
  • Emergency/stop button + interlock with the fire detection system
  • Operation according to EN 16005 (automatic pedestrian doors)
  • Variant with redundant motor for critical areas (hospitals)

Recommended for: operating theatre entrances, hospital emergency rooms, airport gateways, accessibility entrances with high traffic.

Variante speciale — recess flap, ceiling flap, wicket telescopic

Pentru clădiri reprezentative, ușile telescopice pot fi configurate să dispară complet în peretele sau plafonul vecin în poziție deschisă. Recess flap — nișa de încastrare în perete; ceiling flap — trapa din plafon. În operarea zilnică, ușa este practic invizibilă.
