Fire-rated pedestrian doors are the most common fire compartmentation elements in public buildings. The difference between classes is not aesthetic — it's functional: 30 minutes for standard compartments, 60 for public buildings and stairwells, 90 or 120 for high-risk areas. All include a self-closer and, for escape routes, an anti-panic lock.

Fire-rated pedestrian doors 30 minutes

The standard for internal partitioning between offices, passages to secondary stairwells, and entrances to ordinary technical rooms. The most accessible fire-rated option — the minimum requirement in most public projects.

  • Fire resistance for 30 minutes (EI30 / EI2 30 class)
  • Galvanized steel with mineral basalt wool insert

For public buildings, hotels and hospitals – compartmentalization with high requirements. The same construction as the 30 min variant, but with multiple mineral wool inserts for double resistance. Standard in main stairwells.

  • Self-closer + anti-panic latch included
  • Variant with smoke seal (Sa / S200) available
  • Compatible with integration into fire detection system

For high-risk areas – control rooms, flammable material warehouses, passages between compartments with combustible materials. Double steel with dense mineral wool insert. Hörmann H8-5 – the European standard for boiler rooms and high-risk areas.

  • Fire resistance of 90 or 120 minutes (class EI90 / EI120)
  • Double steel construction with mineral wool insert
  • European certification EN 1634-1 plus Romanian technical approval
  • Intumescent seals that expand when heated

Recommended for: boiler rooms, fuel depots, control rooms, transformer stations, passages between sensitive compartments.

Fire-rated pedestrian doors with vision panel

Fire-resistant glass vision panel – visually check the other side before opening the door. Critical in public buildings where personnel should not blindly enter potentially smoke-filled areas. The glass maintains its structural integrity even at fire temperatures.

  • Special fire-resistant glass (EW / EI class)
  • Vision panel dimensions: 300×400 mm standard or custom
  • Frame integrated into the steel door – same fire rating
  • Available for all 30 / 60 / 90 minute versions

Recommended for: high-traffic corridors, entrances to crowded halls, passages to technical areas, escape doors requiring visual control.

Hörmann STS / STU — uși „flush” pentru proiecte de prestigiu

Versiunea premium când aspectul ușilor de foc trebuie să se potrivească perfect cu ușile non-foc din aceeași clădire. Suprafață perfect plană („flush”), culori RAL nelimitate, finisaj Pearlgrain sau exclusiv Corten.

  • STS — T30 (EI₂30) | STU — T90 (EI₂90)
  • 1 sau 2 canate, suprafață integral plană fără falțuri vizibile
  • Finisaje: RAL la alegere, NCS, metalizat, Corten
